WELCOME TO MUSA MIO STUDIO  ....spanish for My Muse, the euphoria that inspires me to create.

I am a visual artist and designer who is fascinated by patterns and textures.  I was born and raised in Southern California with my three brothers and parents.  My father was born in Mexico, my mother in Los Angeles a first generation Mexican/American.  Each summer was spent camping on the beaches of Baja California in Ensenada Mexico.  
Day trips into the city were a visual delight of colors and textures. 

In art school I first studied fiber art, textile and surface design.  
Years later I began painting on canvas using different medium.  Travel over the years to different lands have been springboards for imagination, creativity and inspiration.  I feel a mystical current whenever I paint.

In 2013 one of my priorities is working on a series paintings  titled "Mexican Cemeteries". 
I hope to have it completed by fall of 2013.
